- PROJECT INFORMATION: The project concerning the construction of Bahçe - Nurdağ (Fevzipaşa) Bypass infrastructure is conceived as a part of the railroad connecting the Nurdağ and Bahçe districts of Gaziantep and Osmaniye provinces, respectively.Nurdağ tunnels will serve as the main junction of this railroad project including twin-tunnels in both directions. The project will reduce the existing 32.5 km to 17 km, and operational pace will be significantly elevated. Advanced-technology Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM-mole) was used to drill the tunnel bores for precision and smoother walls also reducing ground-related issues around the site. Constructed with no physical interruption, each tunnel is an approximately 10 km-long bore including a cut and cover tunnel, bridges, underpasses and culverts.
